Welding Manipulator + Positioner | Dual-machine Synergy & Precision Welding

In the welding of large cylinders, pressure vessels, storage tanks and heavy steel structures, difficulties in weld positioning, low efficiency of workpiece flipping, and insufficient stability during long-term continuous welding have always been key factors restricting production efficiency. The combined use of welding manipulator and welding positioner realizes synchronous linkage between welding torch and workpiece through dual-machine synergy, providing a more efficient and stable solution for automatic welding of large workpieces.

The welding manipulator is responsible for the precise movement and positioning of the welding torch, realizing the lifting, expansion and welding trajectory control of the cross arm, enabling the welding torch to quickly reach different welding positions. The welding positioner performs workpiece rotation and flipping, keeping the weld seam always at the ideal welding angle. After the two machines operate in linkage, frequent manual adjustment of the welding torch and repeated hoisting and flipping of workpieces are unnecessary. The welding process becomes smoother, greatly improving welding efficiency and weld forming quality.

Compared with traditional manual welding methods, the combined system of manipulator and positioner is more suitable for automatic welding of large rotary workpieces. The equipment can run stably for a long time, effectively reducing labor intensity, welding deformation and rework rate. The system is compatible with submerged arc welding, MIG/MAG, TIG and other automatic welding processes.
