In this project, Xushen Welding provided a combined solution using a welding positioner and a hydraulic rotator to meet the customer’s requirements in welding medium and large structural components. The solution was mainly applied to cylindrical and irregular workpieces, where large dimensions, variable weld positions, and frequent adjustments of welding orientation posed significant challenges.
During the initial stage, the engineering team conducted a detailed analysis of the workpiece structure, weld seam distribution, and welding process requirements. Based on this evaluation, a coordinated system integrating a welding positioner and a hydraulic rotator was developed to allow smooth and controlled adjustment of workpiece orientation across multiple angles.
In practical operation, the welding positioner was used to tilt and rotate the workpiece, ensuring that key weld seams could be positioned in optimal welding orientations. Meanwhile, the hydraulic rotator provided stable rotational support for cylindrical components, enabling continuous and smooth welding operations.
The combined use of these two types of equipment significantly reduced the need for frequent lifting and manual repositioning, improving operational safety and workflow continuity. By maintaining stable welding conditions, the system also contributed to more consistent weld formation and reduced variability.
After implementation, the customer experienced improvements in welding efficiency, process organization, and overall quality stability. Workpiece handling became more convenient, production flow more efficient, and equipment utilization increased.
This project highlights Xushen Welding’s practical experience in integrating welding positioners and rotators for complex welding applications.
